Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom on the Himalayas’ eastern edge that known for its monasteries, fortresses and dramatic landscape that range from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. it is a harmony destination for tourist to travel as it matched in its brilliance by the country enchanting and vibrant culture. Bhutan also known as one of the last remaining biodiversity hotspots in the world, with most of its natural environment still pristine and intact.
Itinerary
Day 1 :
Day 1: Arrive Paro - Thimphu lunch & dinner
Druk Air flight to Paro is one of the most spectacular of all mountain flights. Whether flying along the Himalayan range over the foothills, each flight is a mesmerizing feat and offers exciting descent into the kingdom. On arrival at the airport, you will be accorded a very warm reception by our representative. then drive to Thimphu modern capital town in Bhutan. Check-in your hotel in Thimphu and free until lunch time for some rest from early morning flight, refreshment and lunch. After lunch, visit Tashichho Dzong - is a Buddhist monastery cum fortress at the northern edge of Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan
Day 2 :
Day 2: Thimphu - Punakha breakfast, lunch & dinner
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit National Memorial Chorten, Buddha Point, Takin Mini Zoo, Post Office for stamps and visit Folk Heritage Museum. Drive to Punakha for 2.5 hours. on the way stop at Do Chula Pass 3050m for tea / coffee and enjoy our first view of the eastern Himalayan Mountains. Continue visit to Punakha Dzong - which lies between two rivers known as Phochu and Mochu, it symbolizing the masculine and the feminine co-existence their currents are of differents colours and they unite at this point. Then, visit Chimi Lhakang - a temple dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kuenley who as the famous saint of the Bhutanese people is known affectionately as "Divine Mad Monk". Check-in and dinner at your hotel.
Day 3 :
Day 3: Punakha - Paro breakfast, lunch & dinner
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to north of Punakha for a short excursion to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyel Chorten - stands majestically on a strategic ridge above the Punakha Valley. It is sacred religious edifices, which will help to ward off negative forces, promote peace, stability and harmony in a changing world. This chorten is a fine architectural and traditional manifestation whose details of constructional design are drawn from the scriptures and not from the technical books. The Chorten is also an esoteric embodiment of positive forces prevailing over all negative influences in the three forms of existence. According to Lamas, the Chorten is a quintessence of Buddhism and in various ways it will promote the health, happiness of the king and people thereby subjugating all evils. After lunch, drive back to Paro. Check-in and dinner at your hotel
Day 4 :
Day 4: Punakha - Paro breakfast, lunch & dinner
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit to Tatshang Monastery - perched giddily on a rocky ledge, with a waterfall cascading as if from the blue. Afternoon visit Kychu Temple - is one of the oldest temples in Bhutan which dates back to the 7th century. Kiyuchu Temple is one of the last three surviving temples. Continue visit Ta Dzong National Museum - is housed inside the six storied circular Ta Dzong, is a medieval watch tower situated above the Rinpung Dzong. Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong - which has a long and fascinating history. Then visit a Bhutanese Farm House to see how a Bhutanese farmer lives. At the hotel typical Bhutanese cultural show will be shown.
Day 5 :
Day 5: Departure Paro breakfast
Breakfast at the hotel. Free until departure transfer to the airport for flight back to Kuala Lumpur.
